Work in progress
In this section I want to highlighting the areas where I certainly view myself as a “work in progress”, and where I particularly wish to develop as a lecturer and supervisor. I want to:
- add more spontaneity to my teaching, and allow myself to test new approaches without knowing exactly how it will turn out (and accepting that it may not always turn out!);
- become a better facilitator for unstructured student activity, open up for more dialogue, discussion and input from students as part of my lesson;
- explore ways of incorporating and cultivating diversity (in language, in texts, in learning strategies and motivation) in my teaching;
- add to my feedback toolbox, rethinking how I can make feedback more useful for students and less time-consuming for me.
