Welcome activities: Examples from two separate introductory courses (2022). Activities 2 and 4 were introduced and contextualized in an online Zoom class. The third activity worked as an ice breaker/“onboarding activity” during the first few minutes of the first class, where all students got to say a few words in English as well as being allowed to choose how personal they wanted to be in their first meeting with teachers and fellow students.
